All-Around Vario Flooring for Dance, 65.4 Foot Length
Our All-Around Vario Flooring for Dance is a popular selection for dance studios and troupes seeking a professional quality vinyl dance floor that is easy to install.
As another advantage of our black Vario flooring, a few people can easily work together to roll it up for storage and unroll it for practice. In a situation where facilities want to use it as a wedding dance floor, its portability will be a significant advantage.
Slip Resistant Matte Finish
For performances where bright lights will be in use, the matte finish on our Vario flooring will resist reflective glare that can distract the audience from watching the performance. The matte finish gives dancers the slip resistance they need for safe practices and performances as well.
In addition to the protection from slips that this floor provides, it is flame retardant. It meets EN 13501-1/Cfl-s1 flame resistance standards. It also has chemical resistance capabilities in case of a spill.
This is a versatile type of flooring for a dance studio, as it will work for numerous types of dance practices, including ballet, tap, and ballroom.
Each roll can cover about 425 square feet of stage space or studio space. Should users need to cover even more space, they can connect strips of this vinyl Vario flooring using Vario All Around Dance Tape on the seams. When it’s time to roll up this marley flooring for storage, just remove the tape.
Durable Multi-Layer Vinyl Floor
The manufacturer has created a high-quality type of vinyl flooring roll by using multiple layers to deliver durability and performance. This floor carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty, but customers often receive a longer lifespan with proper maintenance and care.
Each of the six layers in this flooring provides a key component to deliver the high level of performance for the roll of dance flooring.
- Protective layer: The top layer serves to protect the lower layers from moisture, including any cleaning solution. This layer resists grime and stains, making it easier to clean the floor and keep it looking like new.
- Wear layer: The second layer is the wear layer, which measures 0.5 mm in thickness (about 0.02 inches). This is a layer that protects the floor by taking the abuse of people using it for dance and walking across it.
- Color layer: The third layer contains the black color for the floor in an extremely thin layer. The top two layers are transparent, allowing the black color to be clearly visible.
- Compact layer: The compact layer serves as a background for the color layer, ensuring that it supports the look of the color layer, helping the overall design of the floor
- Stability layer: The fifth layer provides stability for the entire floor. It uses a fiber-reinforced design to help the floor maintain its integrity, even when numerous dancers are using it simultaneously. It gives dancers a feeling of firmness in the floor that they can trust when making their precise movements.
- Cushioned layer: The bottom layer in our roll of dance flooring consists of a foam layer to provide cushioning. Versus dancing on a hard stage or studio floor, the slight cushion in this foam layer protects the lower body joints of the dancers, helping them feel fresher and avoid leg fatigue.

Maintenance and Care
To give the Vario flooring the longest possible lifespan, customers will need to perform regular cleaning processes. Fortunately, none of the cleaning and maintenance work should take very much time.
Start by removing loose debris and dust from the floor on a daily basis. Use a soft bristled broom to avoid ending up with scratches on the rolls. Customers can also use a vacuum or a dust mop over the top of the thin floor.
Mop the floor on a weekly basis to remove grime and oils. Use a neutral pH cleaner diluted with warm water to yield the best results. Make sure the pH cleaner specifically is safe to use on vinyl floors. A Vario vinyl floor cleaning kit is also available.
Typically, customers will want to leave the solution on the vinyl floor for a few minutes before rinsing it with clean water. Use a clean mop or cloth to remove the cleaning solution to avoid the possibility of leaving cloudy residue on the vinyl.
Leaving moisture on the surface of the dance flooring could result in a slip hazard for the dancers.
Maintenance
For cleaning, use the Vario cleaning kit.

Product Questions:
Q: Can this be placed on a concrete floor? Or does it need a vapor barrier?
A: If your floor does not have any moisture issues, then you can install it directly over the concrete, and a vapor barrier can not hurt anything. In addition, we always recommend some sort of underlayment when installing a vinyl marley dance floor on top of concrete to protect the dancer.
Q: Can you tap dance on this floor?
A: Yes, it will absorb a little of the tap sound because of the attached padding.
