The Waterhog Carpet Tile with a square pile surface texture have a rubber reinforced bi-level cleaning surface that provides long term cleaning performance.

Durable Mat for Scraping Shoes

The top of the tiles has a grid pattern that creates a bi-level surface. As people walk across the tiles, they will scrape their shoes across the grid pattern. The bi-level design pulls soils from the soles of the shoes and keeps them away from the top surface layer, which prevents people from tracking soils further into the building.

Our customers install these tiles in areas ranging from a commercial entrance at a building to a waiting room inside the building to a front lobby at an office tower.

A repair garage may use these tiles in the foyer or the customer waiting area for workers who are stepping out of the garage, preventing tracking of soils that may drip off the cars.

These tiles also provide an anti slip capability. The underside of each tile has a cleated rubber backing that holds it in place as people walk across it.

Easy-to-Install Front Entrance Tiles

These Waterhog carpet tiles have interlocking edges that greatly simplify installation. The design of the interlocking tabs will hold the tiles together tightly, even when used in areas with significant stress from foot traffic.

The interlocking tabs have a complementary color to the main portion of each tile. The final layout will take on a grid pattern, and it will look highly professional. When the installer completes the layout, the interlocking tabs are not noticeable, as the connections blend in with the rest of the tile’s edges.

Installers do not need to add glue or adhesive to the tabs to hold these tiles together. There is no need to glue the mat layout to the subfloor, either. This is a significant advantage over other types of entryway mats, because customers can pull apart these tiles for cleaning or relocation at any time.

To complete an island installation and to reduce the 7/16-inch lip on these tiles, the manufacturer offers ramped borders for the sides and corners that attach to the main tile using the same interlocking edge pattern.

These border pieces consist of rubber and are extremely durable, ensuring they will last as long as the tiles themselves.

For a wall-to-wall installation, you can cut the Waterhog carpet tiles with a utility knife and a straightedge to achieve a clean cut that will fit up against the wall. Once the installer cuts the edge, however, the tile will no longer be able to connect to other tiles.

Installers receive 10 tiles per carton, giving them up to 22.5 square feet of coverage per carton. Each 18x18-inch tile is extremely sturdy, weighing 4.4 pounds, which helps to hold the entire layout in place without the need for adhesive.

Maintenance and Care

Customers appreciate placing these Waterhog carpet tiles in busy areas at the entrance to buildings, as they are extremely durable and do not need complex cleaning techniques applied to them.

Each tile carries a limited lifetime warranty. This material has anti-static properties, which makes it safe to use in businesses that have quite a bit of sensitive electronic equipment.

When used in tough conditions with frequent moisture, it will not rot. It uses fast drying materials, so it can return to normal as quickly as possible after people track rain or snow onto it.

This is a stain resistant material, which makes it ideal for use in an entrance way, where regular cleaning of the mats is difficult. As an indoor/outdoor mat, it will not fade when exposed to regular sunlight, either.

The manufacturer recommends daily vacuuming in high traffic areas and weekly vacuuming in low traffic areas. For stubborn soils, rinse the tiles with a hose or use a carpet cleaning extractor machine for the best results.
