How To Install GymPro EcoRoll Gymnasium Carpet Cover
Date Published: 03-13 - 2025
Start by cleaning your floor according to flooring manufactuer instructions. This will help optimize the performance of the gym floor cover and prevent damage to gym floor.
For safety purposes, always deploy the top roll first and make sure the handle is securely fastened to the core with the safety pin in place before unwinding begins.
The safety locking pins keep the core from spinning. They will need to be removed before deployment of the cover.
To start, lock all four casters where you want the cover to be.
One person will stand behind the rack to make sure the cover is unrolling smoothly while the other pulls the cover across the gym floor.
Once the roll is completely pulled out the tab that connects one roll to the next will need to be removed.
When this is complete, you can then unlock all the casters and move the rack over to the next location. Lock all the casters again and repeat the steps from the first roll.
The rolls do not need to overlap. They just need to be laid next to each other as shown.
When the system is new, you will need to allow 1/8 of an inch in between each roll to allow the product to relax and flatten.
Once all the rolls are laid out you can connect the rolls with the included top hook seaming tape.
Touch the top of the tape to the top of the first seam starting at the end as shown.
Once attached, you will walk the length of the seam touching the top of the tape to the top of the flooring covering every 10 ft or so.
Complete these steps until all the seams are connected.
To retrieve the top of tape, simply roll it back on itself. It helps to walk backwards or with a partner as shown as it holds the floor cover down while you pull the tape up.
Use a small piece of the hook tape to secure the tape once wound up as shown.
Store in a dry convenient place for next time.
Hook tape is intended to be used on all of the seams of the gym floor cover system.
The tape is designed to be used over and over.
The top hook seaming tape will arrive in 75 ft long rolls.
You may need to cut them into increments that work more efficiently with your gym floor cover system.
Keep in mind, the fewer short pieces you have, the quicker and easier it will be to deploy and roll back up the seam tape.
