Max Tile Raised Floor Tile Ramped Border Piece

Border ramp pieces designed specifically for the Max Tile Raised Floor Tile, EZ Portable Dance Floor Tiles, and the Basketball Court Tile Gym Floor Pro Tile. The Max Tile border easily connects to the edge of the Max Tile.

The male borders have the nub under the border, and the female borders have the loop coming off the edge of the tile. Use a male border on the female edge of a tile and use a female border on the male edge of a tile.

For corners, use the Max Tile Corner pieces.

How Many Borders Do I Need?

For Island installations: Where the layout will have all four sides exposed to the room. In this case, the number of borders needed will be the length + width of the layout for each border type, and 4 corner pieces. Use half male and half female borders in this instance. Example 10x12 ft layout, 10+12 = 22 male borders, and 22 female borders, and 4 corners.

For Corner Installations: Where the layout will be pushed into one corner and will have 2 sides exposed to the room. In this case, the number of borders needed will be the length + width of the layout and one corner piece. Use all male borders in this instance. Example 10x12 ft layout, 10+12 = 22 borders, all male, and one corner.

For Inside corners, two border ramps will have to be manually cut at a diagonal to fit. Use a sharp utility knife to cut this product or a table saw.

Note: This border will only fit on the Max Tile Raised Floor Tiles, EZ Portable Dance Floor Tiles, and Basketball Court Tile Gym Floor Pro Tiles.

Installation over carpet can vary in results. Best results are obtained when installed over low pile carpet.

Product Questions:

Q: Can you tell me how many of these border pieces I would need to border a floor that is 7 feet by 7 feet? And would half of those be female and half male?
A: The way to figure out the borders you need is to count the number of tiles on the perimeter of your layout, so 7 tiles in 2 directions is 7x4 sides for a total of 28 borders, half male and half female, and four corner pieces.
