amazing product to walk on and easy to clean. we installed it under the heaviest desk we have ever owned, it is at least 100 years old and really needs 4 men to lift and move. here's hoping we won't need to move it any time soon. A friend installed the tiles and he is a perfectionist but he thought it was an easy install.

We’re very pleased with the value of these mats! The gray wood looks GREAT and they provide excellent cushion and protection on our tile floors. Our dog did put some holes in one with his claws but they’re still highly functional.

READ THE RETURN POLICY BEFORE PURCHASING - NO RETURNS IF PRODUCT IS OPENED AND LAID DOWN. These mats are terrible for a family with babies and toddlers. They come with a coating that makes them very slick, more slippery than our hardwood floors that we were trying to make more kid-friendly. The coating is on both sides so the residue on the bottom that is suppose to be grippy rubs onto our hardwood making them even more slick than before. I had to scrub everything down with baking soda which was only able to remove about 30% of slickness. Tried to return this product but found out the strict return policy. I understand the rationale from a business perspective, but how is a customer suppose to know if the product is suitable without opening the product and laying a few down? We're a fan of the BJJ mats but these home mats are subpar. These aren't great for mommy carrying the baby and for guests who are unaware - people literally almost slip the first time they step on or around it. Do not recommend this.

I bought these to make my upstairs attic into a yoga studio. I can’t be happier with the ease of installation and the aesthetic. Also makes practicing yoga much more comfortable. Such a good purchase. For example, I am a single woman and shimmed and fitted the entire large floor in 2 hours. You won’t regret it!

These are very dense, yet soft to walk on. I Think they will last longer than other brands I have had. Having the underside being a color other than white is a great idea. Then if they get a scratch or puncture, it does not show.

Has been a month since I did a ~200sqft bedroom with the 1/2-thick 2x2ft standard woodgrain foam tiles... and all seems good. Cushioning is as hoped, and durability is good... appearance is pretty amazing, for foam tiles; you would not notice the floor as different from hardwood - until you look closely for the puzzle-edge seams, or step on it (then people are amazed that it's foam).
A few notes maybe helpful:
1) YOU CAN COLOR-MATCH: If you really want a ''seamless'' appearance (and want to spend the time) - You can usually dig through the box, as you're assembling... testing tiles and spinning them around 180-deg... until you find a very camouflaged ''color match'' (so the wood grain from ONE tile matches and aligns with the individual grains on the neighboring tile). Sometimes you can even find the piece that appears to have been cut from its neighbor, during manufacturing of the tiles (and in those cases; the puzzle-edge virtually disappears).
2) PRE-FLATTEN: There may be a very slight ''bow'' to the tile when shipped; lifting the puzzle-edges up. In those cases, you can usually pre-bend or store the tile so the bow goes the other way (keeping the puzzle-edges down, vs. lifted)... and that helps the assembly hide the puzzle edges.
3) TEMPERATURE CONTROL: I know the instructions say to leave a small (~1/8-1/4'') gap around the perimeter of the tile assembly... to allow for temperature and humidity expansion of the entire foam floor, without bowing tiles up. But (in my opinion): If you're installing in a temperature-controlled room (i.e., air conditioning... staying between ~70-80F)... vs. large, uncontrolled temperature swings (like 30F in winter and 100F in summer)... you can probably get away with ''snug'' fitting the edges of the tiles against the wall. This gently-forced fit of the tile panels also helps keep the puzzle-edge gaps snuggly closed against each other - further helping hide the seams (and there's enough flexibility in the tile to handle this tiny amount of compression - without bowing up). (And: If you're placing anything heavy on the floor - such as a dresser, night stand, etc. - that weight becomes an ''anchor'' on that spot of the tile flooring, anyway... so it can't expand... so it can't use the wall gap... so... you might as well close that gap, anyway).
4) DURABILITY: As a test, I intentionally made some ugly scars in a test tile, and force-raised the puzzle seam - then vacuumed over that area for several minutes with the vacuum beaters ON... essentially did about 5 years of vacuuming on this one spot... to see if it would survive without delaminating. By the end, I couldn't even see a difference in the top laminate, vs. before the test. So, I (personally) think the tiles do fine with light vacuuming.
5) WALL GAPS: ''shims'' can be made from the tiles - to press into minor, erroneous wall gaps (~1/4 inch or so) - by slicing off slivers from scrap tiles. While not perfect - this match of color will remove the visual gap to the base floor (and also prevent collection of dirt and dust in that gap).
6) FINISHING TRIM: The foam assembly worked well with addition of typical floor edge molding (''quarter round''; some of which are available as stick-on vinyl, now)... and transition/threshold trim (i.e., metal or wood ramp pieces, to transition between the foam tiles and neighboring carpet/tile/etc.). So, if you really prefer a professional ''finished'' look; those trim options (even temporary) work.
7) TOOLS: While people have different preferences and methods of straight edges, markers, measuring, etc... The only thing I'd suggest is; have a few blades. The razor-blade/box-cutter method is the best (scissors squish the tile, so edges are distorted), but... every 20 linear feet or so, of cutting tiles (~10 tiles) - the blade begins getting dull, so it starts to distort and warp a difficult cut. So, plan to change out blades every ~10-20 tiles or so.
8) LAYOUT: If you have a dominating traffic pattern (such as an entranceway which passes straight to another)... you may want to pre-line-up full tile panels, first, along that path. This means foot traffic will primarily only pass over the lateral seams (as the longitudinal seams are offset; to the left and right of the foot traffic). This may mean you end up having to cut more tiles (i.e., to now make manually-cut edges - along BOTH lateral walls - when the final tiles eventually reach the wall), but... the tiles are inexpensive, and this extra effort upfront may end up making the flooring last longer (as the primary foot traffic no longer catches - or sees - as many puzzle-edges).
9) FOOTERS and ''SLIDERS'': While heavy furniture did well moving across the floor with commercial ''sliders'' (the cloth-covered plates that fit under furniture legs, to allow pushing around)... the final placement of heavy furniture may benefit from using spare tiles - themselves - as the final footers and sliders. The matching color of the spare tiles, cut to the size of the feet on the furniture; not only helps disperse the weight of each leg (reducing the crushing of the base foam tile), but also camouflages with the rest of the floor, and still allows some minor sliding during furniture adjustment and cleaning.
10) PLAN FOR SPARES, on TRICKY TURNS: If you've got a really tricky nook (like: Deep in a closet, with installed footers for the shelving - or other complex counter edges, irregular corners, etc.) - where you may have to make 6-8 cuts on ONE TILE, to fit around the various structures; just plan on the first tile being scrap. Cut it to the best fit you can on the first try... then install... and see where the gaps or interferences are... then measure and mark those errors... then pull that ''beta tile'' out... and use that as a template to cut the FINAL tile.
Overall: Kaitlyn at GreatMats was VERY helpful; gave ideal samples beforehand, helped assure the shop was getting the tiles on the truck at the right time, set up the account, did quotes... pretty much from beginning to end; Kaitlyn made it all work.

The color we ordered (Gray Wood Grain) was out of stock and we were told it would be 10 days. Order was placed on 4-14-22 and received our order on 4-20-22. The foam tiles are installed in our large basement room and we are very satisfied with the look, the fit, and especially the comfort level.

Very pleased with our decision to go with GreatMats woodgrain foam tiles for the flooring of our new shed studio. The tiles are beautiful and seemingly durable. They provide a waterproof layer of insulation, and they look great. The purchase was easy, the rep I chatted with answered my questions quickly, and my order arrived well-packed and on-time. If we need this type of flooring in the future, Greatmats will be the first place we look.

We LOVE our greatmats!!! We had the carpet tiles in the past and after 9 years 2 kids and a total of 5 animals, it was time to replace them. We've had so many compliments on this floor! Our friends commented on how they expected the floor to be hard or cold and were so surprised when they stepped on it! It looks amazing, and helps keep our floors warm. We've had for about a month now, and so far so good. We placed slides under all the heavy furniture to prevent any tearing and limit the indentations.
