These are around my gym area in the basement; the project is not yet finished. As you can see, they are surrounded by the max tile - maple color. These tiles are very easy to snap together; anyone can do it and you don’t need a rubber mallet.

I will admit I was nervous getting the bumpy tiles (the orange peel was sold out), but the bumps are not raised super high. It does not hurt to walk on it barefoot, in fact I think it is going to help with not slipping. The tile has a rubber “give” to it. It looks great overall. Super easy to install. There is a rubber/gym smell that has not gone away (been over 2 months) but that’s ok. It was pretty hard to cut, but that is to be expected. I would not want to cut a whole row of tiles. I did find this product on Home Depot online, but it was cheaper through Greatmats. I ordered 63 tiles. You do have to know exactly how you want your tiles to order the black border because of the male female parts.

The mat was exactly what we had hoped. Install was simple but did take a few minutes because of the amount of squares I purchased. We now have a much better exercise area in our home. Highly recommended!

Was looking for a product to place over carpet that can withstand the weight of workout equipment and allow me to do exercises not over carpet where I would not have best traction or support. We also didn’t want to remove the carpet and this fit the criteria exactly. The color looks good and so far using them for about 2 months and no major issues. Only reason it for 5 stars was that the package of tiles I received had extra plastic material on it around where the connecting pieces so it caused raised bumps at those sites and I had to manually remove the extra flashing. But their customer service was awesome and helped me to get replacement tiles. Top notch service!

I LOVE this floor! Absolutely worth the money. I installed 9 x 12 ft StayLock Bump Tiles in my basement on top of carpet to complete my home workout area. I use this area to do multiple types of workouts - cardio kickboxing, HIIT, step, core, weight training with dumbbells, etc. This flooring gives the added cushion to help alleviate pressure on my joints. Before COVID, I did regular classes at my gym and when I decided to cancel my membership, I equipped my basement to be able to do workouts at home. I now love the flexibility of being able to workout when I want and do what I want, but the carpet over concrete was hard on my joints. I originally purchased a much cheaper rubber flooring, but was very unsatisfied and decided to spend more money to get this flooring that I believe will last a long time. It is ''sticky'' enough to do all types of athletic movements (shuffle side to side, burpees, running, jumping etc.) but smooth enough to not trip over my feet. It does not move at all and the amount of cushion is perfect - not too stiff or too soft. Installation was easy. Ordering directly from GreatMats allowed me to pick the exact configuration I wanted with the color tiles and black borders. The pre-sales customer service was great - Megan was very patient with my multiple rounds of questions and sent small samples of the tiles (which BTW, because of their small size, seem much stiffer than the full-sized tiles). It looks great and actually makes me want to go workout! I could not recommend this more. Full disclosure - Greatmats offered me a $25 gift card to write this review, but I was planning to write it anyway and the gift card did not influence my review at all.

This flooring is awesome! We installed over our carpet and it's perfect. We didn't want to tear up the carpet as we are using the front part of the room as a lounge. This was the perfect solution. Well worth the money. Easy to put together and very durable as you can see from the pic we have a Peloton bike, treadmill, free weight rack and bench on it.

The mats are wonderful. They function just as advertised and have really helped transform our spare bedroom into a home gym. They sit level on top of the carpet, never move around as my wife and I are working out, and are easy to clean. They are easy to assemble and have held up well to P-90X, T-25 and yoga sessions.

Absolutely beautiful solution to a home gym floor over carpeting!My husband wanted a floor for his gym equipment, and we both wanted to protect our newly carpeted basement. We found the solution in Greatmats Staylock flooring. It was so convenient to pick our tiles and colors and design our floor, using the online app. We worked with a customer rep, Joanne S., who was so very responsive to our need for information, as we found ourselves shopping for flooring online, without going into a retail store. She helped us to be comfortable selecting our flooring, by providing us with good information and by sending us free samples to evaluate. Our order for flooring arrived in great condition, and construction was a breeze, using our design from the online app. The tiles fit together very well, and our new gym floor looks absolutely beautiful in our basement, is very sturdy, feels great to walk on, and will protect our carpeting when we workout with our home equipment. We did put a piece of carpet upside down on our new carpet underneath the Staylock flooring for additional protection from the weight of our heavy gym equipment. We think our new flooring lives up to its name - Greatmats is indeed great! We have more ideas for using Greatmat protective flooring in our home and intend to be repeat customers. I bought the Staylock tiles to cover a carpeted area for the purpose of putting a home gym. The mats are great because: 1. They stay connected and dont shift. 2. They are very resistant to impact and heavy usage. 3. They are easy to clean and make the area look great. 4. They protect the carpet underneath. I would highly recommend as a cost effective solution for an indoor gym.

I got immediate feedback from their team on what mats would work for my carpeted fitness room. They are great and the order process was very easy. I just wish the pricing for shipping was more integrated into the overall process. I want to order a few more squares/accessories and the recommended shipping cost are more than the actual product order. Other websites ship GreatMats products for cheaper than GreatMats does. Very strange.

Love this flooring!! I can actually exercise at home now without hurting my knees when my feet can't move properly on carpet. Easy to put together and stays in place on carpet. I actually need to purchase a few more squares to increase the size!
