These were easy to install in my basement over carpet. They look great and feel very sturdy for working out on. I was impressed at how quickly I was able to lay out and assemble the 10'x11' area with the tiles.

Came for the product, stayed for the customer service. I created an 8'x12' workout space over carpet using the StayLock tile bump mats & border edges. I received a wrong set of edges and their Customer Service Rep, Mandy, immediately corrected the issue and sent the correct edges out that same day. I can not say enough good things about the product & service!

The StayLock Tiles from Greatmats form a solid interconnected surface that doesn't come apart during my workout sessions. Installation of the flooring was fairly quick and easy. My indoor bike feels stable on the tiles whether I am speeding along or pushing hard out of the saddle up a hill. Floor exercises and weight training sessions feel like working out on a gym floor. The StayLock Tiles are an excellent flooring option if you are planning to setup a gym in your home over existing carpeting.

I bought the StayLock Tile Bump Top Black tiles for my home gym. I was specifically looking for mats that would not slip on carpet. I am using it on a newly carpeted finished basement. My husband and I do aerobic / boxing exercises and needed a firm floor over carpet. I had tried some other cheaper interlocking mats and it would just slide on the carpet. Although this was more expensive, it was definitely worth the price. Hasn't moved an inch since we put it down after numerous workouts.

Order 1675616 We installed StayLock bump top tiles as our gym floor, and we are extremely satisfied with this product. The flooring was easy to install, and provides a comfortable and sturdy surface for exercising. Despite being installed over a medium pile carpet, the flooring withstands the weight of an exercise bike as well as a freestanding punching bag (which is over 200 pounds) with no issues. Even after eight months of use, the flooring looks like new and has functioned perfectly.

The StayLock Bump Top Tiles are a game changer for my home gym area. They are exactly what I was looking for to go over carpet that I do not want to rip out. The install was super quick and easy. I will be purchasing more to expand the area even further. Could not be happier with my purchase.

We bought this tile 3 weeks ago. We were looking for something that was raised because we had an area of our basement that we use for storage that occasionally gets a little bit of moisture during heavy rains. This tile was super easy to install and looks great. I wanted to install it throughout the rest of the basement as well. My 8 year old and 10 year old thought it was a little too firm though for them to play on though, so we are going to try another floor option from Great Mats for the rest of the basement (which doesn't have the same moisture issue). This flooring would be really great for a workout room - obviously that is the real intention of the tile, but the raised part of it makes it also great for basement. It feels very sturdy and firm. Overall customer service has been great so far too. Would highly recommend.

I ordered the Staylock Tile Bumps to specifically cover carpet since the room Im converting into my workout area is upstairs. They are definitely doing exactly what I wanted. There are no gaps and they are sturdy even with my Peloton on them. They were also pretty easy to put together and took no time. I would recommend starting from the corner and or working your way back though. I’m glad I made the purchase.

So happy with the result. I covered the carpet with the StayLock mat and the result is fantastic. As you can see in the pictures, I couldn't cover the whole room (because of the measurements) and I was worried for the mat to slip with the weight of the equipment and the movement. But, I have been exercising for almost 2 weeks with no issues so far. The floor is so firm to jump the rope, do jumping jacks and mountain climbers, but you better use a yoga mat for burpees, which won't slip based on my own experience. I fully recommend Greatmats, they have a wonderful customer service to answer all your questions in case you have doubts about what mats works better for you.

I recently purchased a set of StayLock tiles to install over carpet in my office. They installation process was simple. These are easily the best quality tiles I have found. They look great and feel great underfoot. No complaints!

We love these mat tiles. We slid around and crumpled up our cheaper mats during workouts, but these stay completely still and flat on our medium pile carpet. Very grippy as well unless under extremely sweaty conditions in which case we just wipe off the mat quick and continue. Well worth the higher price for these. 2 of our 50 did arrive damaged and we were promptly refunded after emailing Greatmats.

The product is perfect for my situation. I put it over a low-to-medium pile carpet and it's very stable. It was pretty easy to install. I just used my hands and clicked in all the pieces without any difficulty. I had an 11' x 13' area where it was installed. I added edge pieces and one corner piece. Total of 143 squares, 24 edges and 1 corner. Took about 2.5 hours. Put a treadmill on the flooring in addition to weights and a bench. It's a really nice product for a home gym. Only negative was the order was missing the edge and corner piece. I had to call customer service but they were quick to jump on it and the missing pieces came within 3-4 days.

Very disappointed. I thought these mats were supposed to go over carpet and be strong enough for weight equipment. Not the case. After putting my flat bench (with no weight) on top of the mat it created a slight indentation. After putting my dumbbell rack with two each 20, 25, and 30 pound weights on it crumpled the sections of the mat. So I know my home gym will not be able to sit on top of them.

After a month long search for something to put over semiplush carpet, I came across great mats. Customer service is great. The rep helped me find a product and reviewed measuring to determine how much was necessary. I went with 5% overage luckily because so miscut squares. I got the staylock bump top tile and border for the doorway. Overall installation took me about five hours for a 10x10 room with wall to wall installation. I stopped to buy a better utility knife to cut the tile. Some pieces clicked easily, others not so much. I found it easier to place a piece of wood underneath the pieces that would not click easily. The tile stays in place and does not come apart at the seams. It is extremely stable over my carpet. It is comfortable to jump on for cardio. I do put a yoga mat down if kneeling for floor work. There was a slight odor that went away after a day. My workout room is great with the mats, and my carpet is protected.

Great customer service and help deciding what to get and how much. My order came within the week. I got the staylock bump tile and border. I ordered 5% overage which was good because I cut two pieces wrong. And yes, I measured right, turned the pieces before I cut them. The tile took me about 6 hours to install in a 10 by 10 room. I did have to make many cuts to get wall to wall and fit around a closet and registers. Make sure your utility blade is new or it will be difficult to cut. I ended up going to the store to get a new heavy duty one. My hands are bruised and sore, it is difficult to get some of the locks to click, probably my fault since I installed over semi plush carpet. It helped to put a piece of flat wood under the locking part before pressing down. The tiles are secure over the carpet. Also, I had to plane the bottom of the door. Overall four stars. It is hard to find tile for over carpet. Date of experience: September 12, 2022

Overall, I am happy with my purchase. The tiles are a bit difficult to fit together - especially the border pieces.I highly recommend using a hammer and not your thumbs or palms of hands. Sturdy construction. Time will tell if my desk chair creates permanent dents in that area of the floor.
