About the Writer: Lisa Hobbie

Lisa Hobbie holds a Bachelors Degree from Hamline University (St. Paul, Minn.). She has worked in the fitness industry since 2013 as everything from a group fitness instructor to health and wellness director to a gym owner. Lisa also spent more than 6 years as an event coordinator. She is a dedicated specialty flooring blogger, having written more than 900 blogs about the industry and its products since 2019.

Lisa has also built a reputation as a trusted writer in the restaurant, event and hospitality industries. She served for 10 years as the General Manager for a Best Western Hotel in Western Wisconsin, during which time she was appointed Governor of her region.

A busy mother of two active kids, she also volunteers for food distributions, churches and community activities.
