For a durable, multipurpose floor tile, our Smooth Top PVC Interlocking Grays Ever Tile 1/4 Inch x 20x20 Inch is a great option for garage floors as well as retail flooring, laundry rooms, and industrial warehouse applications.
The interlocking edges on these PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, plastic tiles give novices the ability to install this flooring without the need for glue or adhesive. The tight-fitting interlock design on the edges will deliver perfect results, even in areas of significant stress and frequent foot traffic.
This product is made from 100% recycled materials.
Size and Shape
At a size of 20 by 20 inches, our PVC interlocking floor tiles are comfortable for one or two people to handle during the installation process. Should a customer want to install these tiles as a temporary type of flooring in a garage or factory, it is easy to carry a tile of this size into and out of storage.
Customers may lose a little bit of the coverage size they expect to receive per tile because of the interlocking edge. It resembles a jigsaw puzzle with T-shaped tabs and slots. Each tile has 2.77 square feet of coverage.
If you need help with determining how many tiles to order to fit in your required space, contact the Greatmats customer service team.
Each high quality tile measures 1/4 inches in thickness and weighs only 4 pounds. Yet, the PVC plastic is durable enough to carry a 25-year limited manufacturer warranty.
PVC Material
PVC is a popular choice for flooring in many different use cases because of its versatility. Our PVC interlocking floor tiles for sale combine both durability and flexibility in the material, resulting in a layout that will last and feel comfortable to those who stand on it to work.
PVC does not absorb liquid, making it safe to use in areas where dampness frequently appears. PVC does not allow mold and mildew to form either, which keeps odors in damp areas to a minimum. This material carries slip resistant properties, so customers can use it safely in areas with frequent water.
When working in a garage at a residential or commercial location, PVC does not absorb oil or other chemicals, giving customers time to clean up any spills safely. Additionally, PVC does not show gouges or dents, even when you drop heavy items on the flooring.
Customers can trust the materials and the manufacturing process used with these PVC interlocking floor tiles. We source the tiles from a manufacturer in the United States.
Smooth Top Texture
These PVC interlocking floor tiles have a subtle texture molded into the surface that almost resembles the surface of a leather football. This enhances the slip resistance that customers receive after installing this type of flooring.
Because the manufacturer molded the textured pattern into the surface of the tiles, it will not wear away under the stress of constant foot traffic.
This family of interlocking tiles is available in dark gray or light gray, which helps to hide soils. We at Greatmats have multiple other solid colors in similar types of our 20x20 interlocking tiles.
Common Use Options
PVC’s versatility gives customers a wide range of usage options.
In a commercial facility, installers may place the tiles along a manufacturing line, giving employees a safe place to stand and work. At an indoor supply warehouse, you can install this flooring in areas where vehicular traffic and forklifts will be in use, but you should glue the tiles to the subfloor.
For residential users, installations in areas where dampness may occur is highly common. Some homeowners choose to install the tiles in a basement, laundry room, or mudroom, where they will provide excellent results.
Gymnasium owners like to use these tiles in areas with heavy equipment in place, as the material will not show dents or indentations. It also works well in locker rooms.
Commercial laundry facilities use these tiles to guard against slip hazards resulting from damp areas.
Installation Options
Installation takes very little time and effort with our PVC interlocking floor tiles. Simply line up the tabs on one tile with the slots on an adjacent tile and press them together.
The tabs and slots fit together so tightly that customers do not need to use adhesive to hold them together. For a permanent installation or in areas where vehicular traffic will occur, customers can glue the tiles to the subfloor.
However, when vehicular traffic is not present, adhesive is not always necessary, as the weight of the connected tiles in the layout should hold them in place without glue. You then can disassemble the tiles and pick them up to return to the old floor.
Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements
PVC flooring is one of the easiest types of flooring materials to clean. You can use a broom or vacuum cleaner to remove dry debris on a regular basis or as needed.
When you want to clean the flooring more thoroughly, you can mop the floors using a common household floor cleaner, diluted to match the instructions on the bottle of cleaner. You also can simply rinse the tiles if significant soils and staining are not present.
Maintenance
Sweep, and mop with any type of mop using a general purpose cleaning detergent

We purchased the interlocking PVC flooring. The customer service and communication was excellent. Pricing is the best you will find. The product was for the most part good. We did have 12 pieces out of 376 that were not usable due to the plastic not being fully cured. Since we had factored in a small percentage of loss, it wasnt an issue for us. The PVC is VERY brittle and the interlocking tabs break very easily if not provided with a solid backing. Make sure the tiles are at room temperature to insure some flexibility. This is important. You must gently hammer the pieces together using a rubber deadblow hammer. All in all we are satisfied and would recommend the company and product.
