Q: Do the floors come apart easily for portability to different sites?
A: Yes, this tile can be taken apart with relative ease.
Q: Can these be installed on top of carpet, and do you need the rubber underlayment when installing them on carpet?
A: These tiles can be installed directly over short commercial carpets without padding. You would not use the rubber underlayment on top of the carpet.
Q: Could a lightweight table and chairs be put on this flooring without snapping the underside locking system? I would like to use this as flooring for my small dining room. It is very difficult to keep a carpeted dining floor clean. Or do you have another solution for this situation?
A: Over a hard flooring surface, I would say yes, but over carpeting, it's hard to know if this will work depending on the thickness of the carpet.
Q: How well does this work over a dirt backyard?
A: This is an indoor tile because of its solid surface. For outdoor use, use a perforated tile; even then, it's best on top of a hard flat surface; dirt is very hard for any of these types of modular tiles for a good court surface.
Q: Can this be used as a dance floor? Tap and ballet?
A: This is a good underlayment for vinyl marley dance flooring material for commercial installations, and it's too slippery as a finished surface for tap or ballet. It might be ok for home use only.
Q: Will it withstand large dogs?
A: These tiles are fairly scratch-resistant.
Q: Does this create a perfectly smooth surface for basketball, where the ball does not bounce weirdly if it hits the edges where the tiles meet vs. the inside of the tile?
A: Yes. These court tiles will create a smooth surface for bouncing a basketball when interlocked together.
Q: How would this flooring hold up for a temporary bowling lane? If not, do you recommend anything for that purpose?
A: This product has not been tested for that use.
Q: Can the loops be cut off on one edge to make them flush against a wall?
A: Yes. The loops can be cut off using virtually any power saw.
Q: What about court lines?
A: Place the perfect finishing touch on these indoor basketball courts by painting lines for the free throw lane, baselines, 3-point lines, and other required markings, including those for other sports such as indoor volleyball or tennis. Use the instructions provided for painting with commonly available automotive paint.

I ordered the tiles to create a small basketball court in the basement for my son to have dribble exercises with basketball training software. The order processing was superfast. I ordered the tiles on Sunday and received them on Thursday. I installed them onto a 3/8'' gym rubber mat to suppress the basketball dribbling noise and not to damage the laminate flooring. Installation was easy. I found practical to connect the tiles upside down and then turn the completed court over. Order#: 1699379
