Our equine rubber pavers consist of recycled rubber. The manufacturer uses a re-bonding process that turns the recycled rubber into a clean, safe, environmentally friendly rubber flooring.

Dog Bone Pattern

The distinguishing characteristic of our equine rubber pavers is the dog bone pattern etched into the rubber. The etched pattern will stand up to many years of wear.

This paver is available in a black color, which is helpful for hiding soils. We also offer a few other colors of these pavers for customers who prefer a look other than black.

Rubber is a naturally grippy material, so this is an ideal type of flooring to use in areas that may become slippery when wet or muddy.

Common Use Options

The majority of customers for our equine rubber pavers will be horse facilities. Because of the dog bone pattern, these tiles resemble high-end brick pavers that require a professional layout, so many people will choose to install these in equine facilities.

Rather than forcing handlers and groomers to walk horses through muddy or dusty pathways, use of these equine pavers creates a safe aisle for walking the animals from barn to barn.

At a racing track, these pavers provide a resemblance to a traditional brick layout, but they provide a much safer space that reduces the chance of a slip. Use of these pavers at a horse show is a good idea too, creating a safe area to and from the show ring.

Installation Options

For interior installation, these pavers can be glued down or loose laid over concrete or plywood. Glue down is the best choice for permanent installations.

For exterior installation, glue-down installation over concrete or asphalt is recommended.

These are not recommended over crushed stone, dirt, or other uneven surfaces.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

Keeping these rubber tiles clean is an easy process. To remove dry debris, sweep the tiles with a broom. Use a scoop or shovel to pick up manure.

To wash the surface of the tiles, use a power washer or a garden hose with a sprayer attachment. The rubber surface will maintain its traction even when it is wet.

For cleaning the tiles, the manufacturer recommends using warm water mixed with a neutral pH cleaner, followed by a rinse with a garden hose and sprayer.
