Triton Fight Center claims 2017 Tulsa Open Title

Triton Fight Center narrowly edged out Clinch Martial Arts Academy in a tightly contested overall team title race at the Greatmats-sponsored 2017 American Grappling Federation Tulsa Open on June 17 at UMAC in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lovato BJJ also included itself in the mix as each of the top 3 teams finished within 28 points of each other. A total of 80 teams recorded points in the tournament.

Lovato BJJ gave itself an edge with a dominant performance in the Kids No Gi division where it topped runner up Triton Fight Center by 73 points. Oklahoma Martial Arts Academy was two points out of second place, finishing third behind Triton.

Lovato also took the top spot from Triton in the Kids Gi division by a 36-point margin. American Elite MMA was third in the Kids Gi Division.
Clinch Martial Arts won the Adult Gi Division by a whopping 102 points over runner up Oklahoma Martial Arts Academy while Triton Fight Center was close behind in third place.

Triton Fight Center's persistance and consistency paid off as in Adult Gi Division where it defeated runner up Clinch Martial Arts Academy by 32 points to secure the overall team title. Rubalcava Jiu-Jitsu was third in the division.

'Tulsa was HUGE,' said event organizer Chris Carlino. 'It was our 2nd largest tournament in Oklahoma - second only to our state championships earlier in March.'
