Installation
Our playground flooring offers value, ease of installation, ease of maintenance, and proven durability. Install this tile on hard flat prepared surfaces indoors or outdoors. It also works on top of rooftops, where you're looking to create areas for patios and decks.
The modular mats are designed and thoroughly tested to withstand years of vigorous play. The playground tile can be installed using a variety of methods.
For the most secure method, we recommend a full adhesion of the tiles and accessories to the substrates using our one-part polyurethane adhesive. The full adhesion method is approved for concrete slabs and asphalt surfaces.
Non-Adhesive Installation
For rooftops we recommend using our exclusive fastening system, Quad Bloks. This system offers added stability and ease of maintenance for the outdoor flooring. Each tile includes one Quad Blok Connector 8x8 Inches.
Additionally, by fastening this rubber mat using the Quad Blok connector, you'll eliminate any potential damage to the roof membrane. Because the Quad Blok system does not use adhesives, you can remove the tiles if you needed.

In rainy weather, this playground flooring allows water to easily drain around and under the tiles, keeping the surface free from standing water.

Rooftop or Deck Tiles
Max Playground Tiles are also ideal for rooftop, patio, and deck applications due to their unique installation system and durability. With the Quad Blok system, the tiles are attached to the connector system and not to the rooftop membrane itself.
The outdoor rubber tiles allow for water drainage, ensuring that water quickly reaches the roof surface and flows to the drains, reducing puddling on the surface.
Color Options
The black Max Playground Tile is a non-pigmented material. The black color comes from the recycled rubber material. The color black provides cost savings over the other pigmented or Daybright EPDM color options.
The black tile is made with 92% post-consumer recycled rubber material.
Disclaimer
These outdoor rubber tiles are manufactured using recycled rubber buffings or crumb rubber from reground automotive tires. Color from the rubber material will rub off to some extent under normal use. This is common contact wear with outdoor rubber tiles. All pigmented colored rubber tiles for outdoor and indoor use will experience some color ambering under UV exposure and some circumstances of color coming off.
