This Tape - Roll Out Wrestling Mats Smooth Vinyl Color Tape 3 Inch x 60 Ft. provides a seamless look for your Roll Out Smooth textured Wrestling mats.
Unlike clear removable tapes, this tape features a stronger adhesive and is designed for permanent Roll Out Mat installations.
Please note: The tape's smooth texture could be slightly different than the mat's surface texture. Some of the wrestling mats' competition lines may be covered up when joining mats.

Installation
For permanent installations, we strongly recommend applying VLP glue to the tape edges. Without the VLP glue, it can leave adhesive residue on the mat when pulled up.
Prepare the mat by wiping down the seam with denatured alcohol. Make sure the mats fit tightly against each other without any gaps along the seam.
To help line up the tape as you're applying the tape, place a straight edge along the seam, off-set by 1.5 inches. Start by pulling back about 12 inches of the backing paper from the tape and apply the tape to the bottom of the mat, centered on the seam, and wrapping it around the top of the mat.
Remove about 2 feet of the backing, pull the tape tight while lining it up with the center of the seam and press down to apply. Using a plastic applicator, press down the taped area. If wrinkles form, lift up the tape and reapply.
Continue until the entire seam has been taped, then wrap the tape around the edge to the back side. Cut off any excess.
Carefully apply an even bead of VLP glue to the entire edge of the tape. This will create an optimal seal and a full lip. The VLP will shrink slightly when dry, so be sure to apply a generous bead.
