Sara Carson on Greatmats Foam Floor Tiles for Home Dog Training

One year after winning the title of 2017 Greatmats National Dog Trainer of the Year, Sarah Carson is the proud owner of a Guinness World Record for the Most Tricks Performed by a Dog in 1 Minute. Her dog Hero The Super Collie, of America's Got Talent fame, officially recorded 49 tricks in 60 seconds, breaking the previous record of 32 tricks in a minute.

''We did 54, but they didn't count a few,'' Carson said, noting that they included agility, frisbee and canine freestyle tricks.

Carson, a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, installed an approximately 170 square foot area of Greatmats 5/8 inch thick interlocking premium foam floor mats in her Los Angeles area home in 2018 where she could work on her dogs' tricks and training.



''We turned one of the rooms of the house into an indoor training room, which has been really helpful with the extreme heat,'' she said.

''We have a variety of Border Collies and German Shepherds and Malinois, and they've held up great. There are scratches, but there's no extreme damage. It's been great.''

Upgrading to Dog Agility Mats

In 2022, Sara made the move to Kentucky and upgraded her garage training space to include Greatmats Dog Agility Mats, which are 1x1 meter in size and 3/4 inch thick.

''Training is an everyday occurrence in this household, so I need to make sure that I provide the safest environment to do so,'' Sara said.

With the dog agility mats, she added, ''It not only provides the dogs enough traction but it also is just enough cushioning for when we do our high impact behaviors.''
