Longview Baptist Church Installs Staylock Tiles on Playground

Longview Baptist Church in Deville, Louisiana, uses Greatmats StayLock Tile Perforated for a walkway on their new outdoor playground, increasing the visual appeal of the playground.

''This is one of the latter things we thought about but it turned out to be one of the best things we have done,'' said Robby Poole, Pastor of the church.

They chose a checkerboard pattern of tan and green for the playground walkway to complement the existing playground equipment. The church appreciated how easy the tiles were to install, requiring just a few days and a couple of volunteers.

They installed 1,600 square feet of tiles to create the walkway between each playground section. Each section uses pea gravel as the primary surface of the playground. The tiles were installed between the playground borders holding the pea gravel in place.

The church is happy with the slip resistance the tiles provide in the wet Louisiana climate. They also appreciate that the perforated tiles don't hold the heat as much as other surfaces.

''We really couldn’t be any more thrilled with what we have. It went down pretty easily and for the cost, it was a great value.''
