These Sterling tiles are popular in commercial gymnasiums, especially those that have free weights and large weight machines. The 1-1/4 inch thick black rubber floor tiles do not show wear and tear when used as weightlifting and weight room flooring.

Clean Installation Lines in Rubber Gym Tiles
These Sterling mats work especially well in areas where you want to impress your customers and clients.
We do recommend gluing the tiles at the location of the interlocking edge to ensure a secure layout.
We also offer border ramp and corner ramp pieces with these thick rubber tiles that connect directly to the main tiles. These ramp pieces reduce any trip hazard from the 1 1/4-inch lip on the tiles. Again, you should glue these border pieces.

These rubber tiles are manufactured using recycled rubber buffings or crumb rubber from reground automotive tires. Some black or color will rub off to some extent under normal use. This is common contact wear with this type of rubber tile.

For regular cleaning damp mop with hot water and a neutral pH cleaner, such as Taski Profi.

Q: Can it be used in the garage? Can it hold car weight?
A: The tiles will hold the weight of a car or similar weight, however, rubber is not compatible with car tires or oil from vehicles. We recommend a polypropylene or PVC plastic floor tile for a garage floor.
Q: You've provided indoor installation instructions. Are there outdoor installation instructions?
A: This product is really only designed for indoor; for outdoor use, please contact customer service.
Q: I am thinking of using it as a walking path. How does it handle snow and ice?
A: This 1.25-inch tile is only to be used indoors. Please call our sales team for recommendations.
Q: Can you use this for an area where things will be rolled on it? It’s for a wood shop.
A: Yes. This will handle rolling loads just fine. Just be aware, there is a small seam where the tiles interlock. If you are rolling on very small wheels, this could make it more difficult to roll when you hit the seams.
