The backing material on our luxury carpet tiles is just as durable as the carpet fibers on the top layer. The backing consists of natural woven jute fibers. These carpet tiles also have a waterproof moisture barrier.

The carpet fibers in these luxury carpet tiles do not have a solid color throughout. Instead, these tiles use multiple shades related to the primary base color throughout the fibers, which creates an eye-catching and subtle pattern. Rather than having a consistent pattern, it appears random in the final layout.

Common Use Options

Because these luxury carpet tiles are resistant to water and moisture, while remaining very easy to clean, they work in almost any room of the home.

Customers might install them in a child’s bedroom or a playroom, where concerns over spilled juice boxes or bowls of cereal exist. In a family room or basement movie room, customers can use these tiles to guard against spills or pet accidents.

With the ease of cleaning when using these carpeting tiles, you can safely install them in high traffic areas too, such as hallways.

Installation Options

One of the biggest advantages of these tiles tiles is the fact that they do not require glue or carpet tape to adhere them to the subfloor. This allows customers to remove individual tiles when necessary for cleaning or replacement.

To avoid permanently gluing the tiles to the floor, installers can make use of the FriXion Pads that ship inside each carton. These pads use friction, rather than adhesive, to hold the tiles tight to the subfloor.

They will not slide around when people are walking across them, as the FriXion Pads will secure them in place. However, they will shift if you try to slide furniture across the tiles. To avoid this problem, pick up and carry any furniture to move it.

If you would prefer having a more permanent installation, the installer can make use of double-faced carpet tape or adhesive under the jute backing.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

One unique aspect of this LCT plush carpet tile design is that customers can remove a single tile and place it in a front loading washing machine to clean it. This thoroughly cleans each tile, giving it a like-new look.

Because the manufacturer recommends running any individual tile through a washing machine no more than three times, you should deploy other types of cleaning processes on the washable tiles on a regular basis, reducing the frequency of needing to place them in a washing machine.

You can use a vacuum cleaner on these tiles on a regular basis to remove dirt and soils that accumulate. To clean them more thoroughly, you can make use of a carpet cleaning machine occasionally.

Maintenance

Carpet tiles should be vacuumed frequently. Spills should be removed immediately with an absorbent cotton cloth and clean water. Periodic maintenance can be performed as needed using a hot water extraction-cleaning machine (i.e. carpet cleaner). Machine washable using a front load washer.
