Our padded LCT luxury carpet tiles have a special backing that holds them in place against the subfloor, but that also makes them easily removable. Customers then can place them in the washing machine, having them look like new again in almost no time.
These carpet tiles are all the same size at 24 by 40 inches. Unique Installation Method
The Frixion Pads that are provided with these carpet tiles ensure a simple installation. The FriXion Pads have a peel and stick backing that goes to the subfloor. The top of the FriXion Pad have a hook and loop type texture that sticks to the back of the carpet tile. This keeps the tiles from sliding around, but also makes the carpet tiles easy to remove.
Polyester Carpet Tile with Padding
This is a luxury polyester carpet tile with padding, making it ideal for use in almost any room of the home. Our plush carpet tiles are made in the United States, meaning you can trust the quality and safety of the materials and of the manufacturing process.
The manufacturer uses a solution-dyed polyester material to create the carpet fibers. These fibers are resistant to absorbing stains and moisture, giving you plenty of time to clean up any spills before they set in as stains.
The backing consists of a natural woven jute fiber, and it has a waterproof pad. This provides the ideal mixture of high-quality design with protection against spills from kids and pet accidents. Additionally, the fibers are hypoallergenic and VOC free.
Our plush carpet tiles have a 60 oz. face weight, contributing to the durability of the tiles. They carry a limited lifetime manufacturer’s residential warranty.
Each tile consists of approximately 30% recycled materials, making it an eco-friendly type of carpeting. Additionally, when you are ready to undergo a replacement of these tiles, you may be able to recycle them again, depending on the capabilities of your local recycling center.
Pattern and Texture Options
This is a soft and thick carpet fiber, giving it a luxurious feel. The thick pile of this carpeting helps to hide the seams between the individual tiles. Once you complete the installation and begin walking on the carpet, the seams will disappear from view.
It is available in five different neutral color options, allowing it to fit into almost any existing design for the room without clashing.
Within each color of carpeting, you will find multiple related shades. This creates a more interesting random, subtle color pattern in the carpeting, rather than having a solid color. The base colors available include:

Installation Options
Installers have multiple options for laying out these plush carpet tiles.
The most common option is to use the FriXion Pads that ship with the tiles. The FriXion Pads have a peel-and-stick backing that goes to the subfloor. The top of the FriXion Pad have a hook type texture that sticks to the back of the carpet tile. This keeps the tiles from sliding around, but also makes the carpet tiles easy to remove to wash or move the carpet tiles.
Installers also have the option of making use of glue or double-sided carpet tape to install these tiles when they want a permanent installation.
One disadvantage to using the FriXion Pads is that you cannot slide furniture across the tiles. Lift furniture and set it in place, rather than sliding it.
Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements
In addition to the eye-catching look and luxury feel of these plush carpet tiles, the ability to clean them easily is a significant advantage. These are washable in a front-load washing machine for up to three washes, maintaining a like-new appearance afterward.
You should only use the washing machine option on the tiles to remove significant spills or potential staining. For day-to-day cleaning, vacuum the tiles like you would any other type of carpeting.

Maintenance
Carpet tiles should be vacuumed frequently. Spills should be removed immediately with an absorbent cotton cloth and clean water. Periodic maintenance can be performed as needed using a hot water extraction-cleaning machine (i.e. carpet cleaner). Machine washable using a front load washer.

Q: I'm putting the carpet on a concrete floor in a family room. Does it need padding?
A: These are very plush with a padded backing. You don't need any padding.
Q: Can this be used for a 3-season room with a concrete floor?
A: These carpet tiles could be used in a 3-season room with a concrete floor if they are not going to be exposed to rain, like in a screened-in porch.
Q: I’m considering replacing basement carpet with these, could they be installed over existing existing carpet padding?
A: These need a hard surface to be installed over and are not recommended to install over carpet.
Q: I see it can be washed three times, but can you have the carpet cleaned more than three times?
A: These carpet tiles are recommended to be vacuumed regularly to remove debris and soil particles. Stains can be scrubbed out with a mild detergent without needing to be washed in a washer. These carpet tiles can be machine washed up to three times. These can be vacuumed and scrubbed as many times as necessary.
Q: Does the FriXion adhesive hurt hardwood flooring? I want to have carpet tiles over the hardwood, but don't want to ruin it.
A: As this is an adhesive, it could cause damage depending on any finish on the hardwood and the length of time that the carpet tiles are installed. You may want to consider interlocking carpet tiles which don't need adhesive.
Q: Which underlayment will work best with this carpet tile?
A: The LCT Plush Carpet Tile does not require an underlayment and should be installed on a hard, flat surface. The carpet tiles have some padding.
