Dale Collison says, ''If you want to work on your accuracy, speed and coordination, try double unders. A double under is a rope jumping technique where the rope passes under your feet twice before you land. Jumping rope with a tradition single jump, you have short jump and a slow turn. With a double under, you wan to spring up a little higher and flip the write a little faster to speed up the rope.''

Gym members at CrossFit Duluth have found they enjoy jumping rope on Greatmats' Sterling Athletic Sound Tiles. It's a lot more forgiving on the joints and your body overall than doing this over traditional horse mats or hard gym floors. The sound tiles absorb a lot of the impact of jumping.

Double Under Mats

These interlocking rubber mats are designed with a special support structure that provides the ideal amount of ''give'' during jumps as they are designed for impact absorption for stopping noise and vibration in weight plyometric training spaces.
