This 1/4 inch thick rubber flooring is best used in spinning rooms, cardio areas, and light-duty commercial areas. For commercial gyms with heavy equipment, it is recommended to use 8mm or thicker rubber flooring.
This is a durable material as well. You receive a 5-year limited manufacturer warranty with our black gym flooring.
Custom Length 1/4 Inch Black Rubber Flooring
Our 1/4 rubber roll has a thin design versus other black rubber gym flooring, which makes it a lighter option and simplifies installing it.
Our 1/4 inch rubber mat goes directly over any hard floor, providing protection for the subfloor from dropped items or from exercise machines. Even with a thin design, it maintains its resilience and toughness.
Customers can order a specific length of the 4-foot wide roll, ranging from 25 feet to 100 feet in length. This helps to cut down on waste and keeps the cost reasonable.
Slip-Resistant Texture
At a fitness center, our black rubber flooring creates a slip-resistant surface. Athletes can make quick movements and can gain the leverage they need on this floor, helping them gain the most benefit from their workouts.
Even if the rubber surface becomes wet, it maintains its texture to prevent the threat of slips.
The texture also keeps your exercise machines from sliding around when you are placing a lot of force on them in a hardcore workout session.
Eco-Friendly Recycled Black Rubber Flooring
Our rolls are a nice choice for those who want an eco-friendly style of flooring. The black-colored rolls contain 90% post-consumer recycled material, helping to keep these materials out of the landfill.
The rolls may contribute to LEED points in a green building design as well.
Disclaimer
Like all rubber flooring, this product does have a noticeable rubber smell that may last for several days after installation. Some people are more sensitive to this odor than others. If you're installing the flooring in a room with limited air movement, you will probably notice the smell for a longer period of time after installation. A greater level of air movement over time will minimize the odor faster. You sometimes can minimize the odor by thoroughly cleaning the flooring with a mop and neutral pH floor cleaner immediately after installation.
Any black recycled rubber material can have minor variations in the intensity of the black color. The rubber flooring can have a shading look when the product changes direction when placed on the floor. This occurs due to the way light is reflected and how the human eye sees the color. Installing the product in the same direction can diminish the appearance of color differences.
Cut lengths for rolled rubber products are provided as a courtesy at no additional cost to customers. In some cases, the manufacturer may provide a cut length within two pieces of material. In all cases, the manufacturer is required to supply the overall amount of material per order.
Maintenance
Always use a neutral Ph floor clean on rubber material. Damp mop.

Ships via freight delivery only, shrink wrapped on pallets.
Q: Can a chair with rollers be used on this floor, like a desk chair?
A: It's possible, but the rubber is not designed for this type of use and would not be covered under warranty.
Q: How much does a 15-foot roll of 1/4-inch flooring weigh?
A: 90 pounds.
Q: Can I use this 1/4- or 1/2-inch rubber underlayment to go under a sports court plastic tile for a volleyball or futsal court?
A: Yes, but that is generally thicker than you need.
Q: Can you put washers and dryers on top of this?
A: Yes.
Q: Can you install it outside on a porch? Is it porous, allowing water to bleed through?
A: This is designed as an indoor product. While it will not be damaged by water, it could fade with exposure to extended sunlight. It is slightly porous, so some permeation could occur if soaked for long periods of time - days, weeks, or months.
